Most people are pretty familiar with The Backrooms. It was initially just the one post, but it spawned a rich tapestry of experiences and lore... and eventually, it turned out to be a hobby shop in freaking Wisconsin. (I have an inside joke with my partner that Wisconsin Is Everywhere, because, well, guess where they're from?)

This mod defaults the CAS room with one of The Backrooms, an "endless" void of dingy wallpaper (made by yours truly), buzzing lights, and slightly damp carpet.

(Apartment Life is required for the ceilings to work, sorry, Mac users.)

It's almost Christmas (which means it isn't Christmas)! Tomorrow's gift is going to get a little liminal, so I thought I'd get you all something very unsurprising for now (CAS stuff? In my advent? It's more likely than you think). We have some stylish shirts for your teen males, some very 90s, some very modern.

It's Christmas Eve Eve! Which means you get... something completely unrelated! Here's some very plain dresses that remind me of a 1970s era Simplicity pattern I saw once. They're Cynnix's boots edit of Amaryll's summer dress for all ages (minus toddler which gets different shoes but otherwise is the same), with my texture edits! Dresses that will suit any time period past the invention of the button. I've put them in my regular modern cottagecore pastels, but you can easily slap anything you'd like on there for textures (and I encourage that!).

Here's some recolours of ATS' World Map wall deco, transformed into a pull-down projector screen! You get a white and black bordered modern set, the (always crooked) blue screen of modern projectors everywhere, and an antique-looking projection screen that resembles one of those "overhead projector" mirror-and-light types used in schools for ages.

All the better for decorating schools, places of worship, community centres, businesses, very specific woohoo scenes, etc. Projector not included. I recommend this one, this one, and this one if you tuck the board part into the wall with cheats.

(BTW the numbering in the file is not wrong. I just had other recolours made in between those numbers, for personal use.)

Here's some recolours of a personal retexture I did in early 2020, before The Plague, even. It's some apron-less recolours of Skell's Simple Apron dress, for teen, adult and elder female. :D It comes in a range of colours, on a linen texture. It includes some stockings, as well. This dress has wonky shoulder bones, but other than that, I absolutely adore it.

It reminds me of working women in paintings from the age of pirates, so, thus the name Skipper! It's truly a timeless dress, though. It wouldn't look out of place in the 1840s, 1890s, 1930s, 1950s, or even as a modern cottagecore look.

Some items of clothing remind me heavily of specific things, like tucked-in polo shirts and math class. I was never any good at math, but I hope I'm good enough at texturing for you to want to give these to your AM sims!

Sometimes in winter, all you crave is the gentle breeze of a summer's day... gazing longingly at your closet, you sigh wistfully at the warm-weather clothes. (I mean, I don't feel like that. It's like 10°C in my part of Canada. But I'm sure most people are frozen right now.)

Happy day fifteen! You get some painting defaults, INCLUDING Grilled Cheese Aspiration defaults!

For the longest time, I struggled to find defaults that both incorporated the skill levels of sims, and somewhat resembled the things they were replacing. I didn't want the art my sims had already painted to wildly change! So, I decided, I'll just do it myself. That... may have been two years ago, but whatever. It's done now.

FT is required for Grilled Cheese, but the package is separate.

These are a mix of ones I made myself (trying to imitate various skill levels), free-to-use art I found with the help of friends, and one Noah Verrier painting (the high-skill-level grilled cheese). These were all made with NO AI.

There's a distinct lack of masc formalwear for female sims, so I was absolutely delighted to make more recolours when this mesh popped up... a couple years ago. (Time flies, lmao.) But you're getting it now! Yay! There's some regular "formal" colours, appropriate for a private school or a first job, or even for an xmas party! I also added some fun colours, two pastel, two more "retro," to spice it up.

Some nice dress shirts for your teen's xmas party, a school dance, or a first job! Most are plain, but some of them have patterns, including a fun banana one. :D This is a redo of some shirts I first made in 2021, and never posted (at least, I'm pretty sure I didn't). The textures are a little smoother now. (The banana texture is sadly still a little compressed, which is why I didn't originally post it. But I think it's fine from a normal gameplay perspective.)

Have some nice knit sweaters for both adult and elder males! Not much to say about these... just some basic winter stuff for your guys! My favourite is definitely the mountain one, it's so nice.

I find a lot of elder stuff is just... too "young" for most seniors. (Heck, even a lot of stuff for adult sims is a bit much.) So here's some comfy sweaters that a stereotypical old lady would actually wear. These all remind me of my own late grandmother, who had an amazing assortment of comfy sweaters like this.
